For all my talk about mindset and blocks and doing the work -- I sometimes forget to mention another thing I believe: it can all be F U N💃🏽. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Work can be fun. Growth can be fun. Business can be fun. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ That's part of what I ❤️LOVE❤️ about my work. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ It's FUN. It's exciting. It's enlivening to do work that makes my heart sing 💖🎶 . ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The mindset work I do. The things I teach people. My coaching. It's enjoyable 🦄AF. When it doesn't feel that way, I know it's time for me to get back in alignment🙏🏽. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ When you're running your own biz there's no one way that you absolutely MUST do things to get results. People create beautiful, ✨magical✨, valuable things in the world using so many different methods, strategies, tactics, approaches, etc. And it's all good👍🏽. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ People ask me, "how's work," and I say, "it's going well, really fun," and they look at my like I'm an alien 👽 who has shared my plans to destroy every puppy 🐶 on earth 😱🙀😱🙀. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ There are some things that I don't love to do in my biz. That aren't fun for me. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ But you know what? ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I don't have to do those things either💁🏽! I can delegate them. Because even though they're not fun for me, they can be SUPER fun for someone else🦄. So why not spread the fun and let that person do it? ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Now, that doesn't mean work has to be fun all day every day (although pretty sweet if it is🙌🏽) But if it's never fun, then it's time to start asking yourself some questions... ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Tell me: what's fun about your work? 📷:@thecarolinedoll
What is actually holding you back? ⠀⠀ ⠀ When asked this question, I notice I'll sometimes come up with a generic response. Fear. Anxiety. Overwhelm. ⠀⠀ ⠀ Then when pressed, "what are you afraid of?"I don't know what the truth is. Or I realize it's not actually that scary. ⠀⠀ ⠀ We think that monsters hiding in the closet is something only kids deal with. Adults have the same thing. We just call it by a different name. ⠀⠀ ⠀ So many of the things that we fear or worry about thrive on being amorphous. As soon as we stop to look at them, they dissolve. ⠀⠀ ⠀ Can you take some time to turn the light on the monsters in your closet? ⠀⠀ ⠀ 📷: @the.simple.collection
Things can change in an instant. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Depending on your present circumstances, that might feel beautiful and thrilling. Or it could feel totally terrifying. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I have had to train myself into seeing it as beautiful and thrilling because based on my upbringing, that fact was terrifying. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ When I was 9 years old I came home from a sleepover party on a Sunday morning. I was happy to have been with friends, but even more happy to be returning home to my parents. My mom greeted me as I came in the door and then I bounded up the stairs to greet my dad. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ When I reached my parent’s room, I could immediately sense that something was off. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I cautiously approached my dad and as I got closer began screaming for my mom. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ My dad had suffered a stroke. His speech was incoherent and he had lost function in the left side of his body. He was as scared and confused as I was. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Much of the rest of that day passed in a blur. The bottom line: my life change in an instant. Really, the world as I knew it came crashing down. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ This became part of my blueprint -- things can go horribly wrong in a flash. For years I held onto this beliefs and, as you can imagine, it gave me a lot of fear and anxiety. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ When I was happy, I feared something bad would happen. When I had money, I feared I would lose it. When I loved someone, I feared he would leave me. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ This belief became a part of my blueprint. Holding onto this belief, however, didn’t serve me. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Once I gained an awareness of this belief that I was holding onto and was able to recognize it as false, I could release it. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ The truth is, good things happen in an instant. Magic happens in an instant. Miracles happen in an instant. Now, that’s a part of my blueprint. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ 📷: @alisaanton
A belief is only a thought you've thought a lot. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ We give our thoughts and beliefs so much power -- even if they're not true. Even if they're not serving you. Even if they're holding you back from the things that you desire. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I'm too young. I'm too old. I'm not pretty enough. I'm not good enough. I'm unlovable. I'm not enough. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ These thoughts that so many of us have that keep us from pursuing what we most desire. They weren't true the first time we thought them and they're not true now. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I believe that ✨magic✨ is possible when you're able to step into yourself more fully by shedding these false beliefs. I've always loved the enlivening feeling of sun on my skin ☀️. The feeling of living my literal dream through my business that makes my heart sing is truly indescribable. But today I took the day off to bask in the sun by the pool, simply because its enlivening👙. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I love my work, and as a business owner, it sometimes seems like the work is unending. That's why I make a point of taking time off ⏰. You are supported. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Whatever your dreams. Whatever your desire. You can get there from here. But you're going to need support💥. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ We all view life through the lens of our past experiences. One of the beliefs that I held onto for a long time was that I had to do everything on my own. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Yes, I had had some experiences that I had to experience on my own and some of them were very painful and difficult for me. Nonetheless, that didn't make it an ultimate truth that I didn't have support 🙅🏽. The truth is, and was even then, that there is always support available to us if we're open to it. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Over a year ago I had a hit of inspiration 💡 to create something that I knew would serve my ideal clients in a really deep and powerful way 🤓🙌🏽As was my MO I went about creating it with gusto 💪🏽 ! But I was holding onto my old mindset that I had to do it on my own. As I got deeper into the project, what started as a spark of inspiration turned into soul sucking drudgery. As I tried to push through it, I hit a point where I couldn't push anymore. I hit an upper limit and that work came to a screeching halt ✋ , along with the rest of my biz. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I took some time to re-evaluate and now I'm aware of the support that's always available to me. My creativity🦄. My energy. My body. G-d. Loved ones👯. Other working creatives. The list goes on... ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Just because I can do something doesn't mean I have to. Or that I have to do it all💁🏽. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I'm working on a welcome sequence for new readers and I want it to be SO valuable for them. I was working from a place of inspiration and joy and I put so much into it. But I didn't think it was the best yet. The old me would have just spent more hours making it shine the way I knew it could. But now that I'm open to support I could see that there was another option available to me --- get support. Instead of trying to force the sparkle into the writing, I had a brilliant copywriter go through it with me to give it that ✨sparkle✨. @RebeccaIRubin is a genius copywriter and she can do in 2 hours what it might take me 8+ to do. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ There is always support available ✨You don't have to be brilliant all on your own✨ 📷: @thecarolinedoll
Comparison is the thief of joy. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ So much of the suffering we experience in life comes when we’re focusing on what someone else is thinking. Or saying. Or doing. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ And the truth is -- it’s none of our business🙅🏽. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ If you’re focused on someone else’s life, whose living yours🙀?
Wanna know something that is both bizarre and true?! Most situations we’re afraid of is really a fear of the feeling we think we will feel if that situation were to occur.🙃 Yep, more than 90% of fears are emotional fears. Our fears are a beacon calling forth situations for these feelings to be felt💔 (and healed). ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ We start manifesting situations that force us to face these feelings. If we can face these feelings and release them, we can stop manifesting these situations. We can then become magnets to the life/success we really ✨desire✨. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ So many women that I talk to have a dream of serving people in their own unique way: they’re yearning to become entrepreneurs but they don’t go for it because they’re scared👻. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Scared it’s too complicated. Scared of what people will say. Scared to fail. Scared to succeed. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Creating your dream biz doesn’t need to be so scary! In fact -- you can break it down into 3 things you really need to do: ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Get your mind right! Have to start with a mindset for success that is aligned with money. (Check out the link in bio to get started with that NOW!) Get in front of YOUR people -- those ones you really are meant to serve. (aka marketing) Serve! Serve! Serve! FYI some people also refer to this as selling. But selling IS serving and that’s always been the word that resonated with me more. It’s really just about sharing your gifts 🎁 with the people who want and need them. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Not everything has to be done all at once! Most people who have found great success, found it gradually. Money is just an energy – a thought form 💭, abundance isn’t about the actual money that you have, but about how you feel about the money you do have💰. Most people have negative emotions around money and these negative emotions keep them separated for the money that they do have🙅🏽. The thing most likely to hold you back in creating the business that you really want? Your own mindset.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ We all have a subconscious blueprint around money 💸. It is an initially inherited from our parents, almost the same way we inherit our eye color. As we grow up, we continue absorbing information about money and viewing it through our own unique lenses -- essentially creating various "stories" about money based on our own experiences and perspective.⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ Many of the stories that we adopt and develop are absurd🙃. Moreover, many of them may really be slowing us down or stopping us from reaching are earning potential. When these blocks in our blueprint come up, it can be terrifying and confusing🙀. And you know what else is challenging about them? Each time you move up a level, they can re-appear in a different form. ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ I ran up HARD against one of my money blocks last fall and it felt like I ran into a cement wall in my business. I totally lost sight of what I was truly capable of because fear of not being able to accomplish what I truly wanted was all I could think about🙅🏽. Fortunately, I knew how to get myself back in alignment🙌🏽. The steps that I needed to take to upgrade my believe so that I could get my business back on track. That's why as a new (or experienced) coach or business owner it's so important that you have support and resources💪🏽 so you know what you need to do when you can't get your biz to work for you.
